What would Ziptility cost for your system?

Pricing depends on the size of your system. Below is what that works out to each month, in parts you already buy. Your whole team is included, every plan.

What it costs, in parts you already buy

Ziptility is priced on the size of your system. Here is what that works out to each month, next to something already sitting in your yard.

Under 1,000 connections

about the same as two

3/4" angle stops

a month
2,000 to 3,000 connections
about the same as one

5/8 x 3/4" smart meter

a month
5,000 connections and up
about the same as one

8" Romac Alpha

a month

Every plan covers your whole team. No per-seat fees, no surprises.

What you get

Two ways to run it. Both include every person on your team.

System of Record

Your whole team gets access. Unlimited users. Everyone adds to the map, and the system gets smarter with every person on it.

  • Map your water and wastewater assets from any phone or tablet
  • Attach photos, notes, and documents to anything on the map
  • Find any valve, hydrant, meter, or main, even when the person who knew where it was is gone
  • Share your system with new hires, board members, or engineers without printing a single map
  • Import your existing GIS data or start from scratch in the field

Operating System

Everything in System of Record, plus the tools to actually run your operation off it.

  • Create, assign, and schedule work orders from the office or the field
  • Track repairs, inspections, customer service work, and compliance tasks in one place
  • Manage your inventory and log parts and costs to the work being done
  • Track equipment hours and labor costs for maintenance vs. replacement decisions
  • Log condition, criticality, and lifespan on any asset. Create planned PM routines.
  • Your map becomes a living record. Every action your staff takes makes it more complete

Who gets to use it

This calculator is for water and sewer distribution. Is that all Ziptility does?›

No, but this is where most utilities start. This calculator prices out water distribution and wastewater collection because that's the most common setup and we can give you a number right now.

If you've also got treatment, public works, stormwater, or a combined operation, we can handle that too. The pricing just depends on the specifics, so we'd rather talk it through with you than guess. A quick phone call is usually all it takes.

Doesn't matter if you're a town, village, city, special district, county, or PUD. We're built for small utilities, and we price things accordingly.

How many people can use it?›

Everyone. No per-seat fees. Your field crew, office staff, board members, engineers. The price is the price.

We built it this way on purpose. The biggest benefit of a digital map is that it can be updated all the time. A GIS map locked on one engineer's desktop is no better than a paper map in a drawer. If only one person can touch it, it goes stale the moment something changes in the field.

Ziptility works the opposite way. Your meter reader snaps a photo of a valve they found. Your operator logs an inspection from the truck. Your new hire learns the system by using it alongside the veterans. Every person who touches it makes it more complete.

The 100 little things your crew does every day all add up. Over time, you end up with a living, breathing map. A single source of truth that reflects what's in the ground, built and maintained by the people who know it best.

Common questions

Do we need to sign a long-term contract?›

Annual agreements, and we offer multi-year discounts if you're ready to commit. But honestly, it's a little like trying to describe a good day of fishing to someone who's never been. You can talk about it all day, but they won't really get it until they're out on the water.

That's why we've offered a 90-day money-back guarantee since 2019, and nobody has ever taken us up on it. Not once. We'd rather you sign up, see what it does for your operation, and decide for yourself. Almost every utility that tries it stays.

Are there hidden fees? What's the catch?›

Nope. That is not how we roll.

New customers have a one-time implementation fee that's under $750 about 90% of the time. That covers your initial data import (GIS files, spreadsheets, whatever you want to bring in), working with your team to build your starting templates, and remote training for your staff.

We can also help digitize paper records and maps if you want that, but most of our customers decide to go at their own pace. No pressure, no surprise invoices.

You already buy the parts. Ziptility is the record of where every one of them went.

The map, the work orders, the photos, the history. Built by the people who put it in the ground.
